On October 2nd, 2026, the grand opening of the exhibition took place at the local ANNO Museum in Zwolle.
In “City Unravelled,” you can discover how water, crossroads, housing, and community life have shaped the city throughout the centuries. The exhibition brings together historical events, remarkable objects, and personal stories of the people of Zwolle. As part of the exhibition, 10 artists were invited to present paintings of bridges in the city—and I’m very happy and honored to have two of my paintings included. What makes it especially meaningful for me is that these two paintings were made 26 years apart. What makes it especially meaningful for me is that these two paintings were made 26 years apart.
One was painted 26 years ago, when I had just arrived in Zwolle and was beginning my life here. The other was painted this year.
Two paintings, one city, and 26 years in between. A little piece of my own journey through Zwolle. I feel very honored to be part of this beautiful exhibition.
